Play Reading is the practice of reading a play script aloud, usually by a group of people reading specific roles. It is an opportunity to explore dialogue, characters and narrative structure without a full stage production. Play readings are often done as a 'cold' read, meaning readers have not previously seen the script.

At Townsville Little Theatre, participants are invited to submit their own play writings or suggest other plays for a reading by emailing TownsvilleLittleTheatre5@gmail.com
